The rabbit hole that we call You Tube

A time not too long ago, if you wanted to learn a skill, you had to track down an expert in that field…those days are long gone, and now we have 24-hour access to anything that we might want to learn at the click of a button. I use YouTube for almost any skill I need…embroidery help, how to get a stain out, faux calligraphy, and all things technology. I find myself searching for tutorials at work and home.

I do find that I have to give myself a time limit on YouTube, or I can get lost on a topic I haven’t intended to research. The suggested video sidebar always catches my eye, and before you know it, I have spent an hour watching videos on how to frost a sugar cookie.

My current playlist covers a wide range of interests, from force and motion clips that I thought the students would enjoy to tips for Etsy sellers.

One thing you can always count on is that someone has created a video to answer any question you may have.!
